Holy God, be with us this day.

May our wrestlings lead us to redemption, may our wonderings lead us to mercy.

Let our empathy surpass our righteousness; let our commitment to covenant overcome our attachment to division.

In our efforts to build community, may we let go of our need to stand in judgment. In our efforts to fine collective healing, may we let go of our individual woundedness.

Help us to love resolution more than rhetoric, and reconciliation more than rebuttal.

Pour your Spirit into us and let it move us so that our hope is found in your perfect love and not in the fears of this world. Lead us to the place where stability prevails over chaos, for you are surely the rock to which we cling and the redeemer who holds us fast.

So, we pray, be with us this day.

Amen.
