Doing group art is a joyous experience for me. Especially with kids who love art. This week I had the joy of doing group art at Central Elementary School for 5 classes to make art for auction.

The results were fantastic.

SCHOOL ROCKS!:

4th graders in Mr. Schrupp’s class used wet-on-wet watercolor technique with salt resist technique to make geodes and agates.

FIREWORKS CITY:

4th graders in Mrs. Schwalbach’s class made dot mandalas and combined them with buildings to make a fireworks city.

HIGH FLYERS:

Mr. Evenski’s 4th grade class learned how to zentangle on dragonflies and butterflies, and then watercolored them and sent them flying.

BE YOU!:

3rd graders in Mrs. Ackermann’s class were inspired by this Dr. Seuss quote, so they made this tree with acrylic paints.

WE HEART SCHOOL:

Mr. Rauch’s 5th graders were all heart when they collaged photos of their hands to express how much they love school.
